1. Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026
કેન્દ્ર સરકારે તાજેતરમાં Essential Commodities Act, 1955 હેઠળ Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026 લાગુ કર્યો છે.
આ ઓર્ડરનો મુખ્ય હેતુ Natural Gas Supply ને નિયંત્રિત કરવો છે. West Asia વિસ્તારમાં ચાલી રહેલા geopolitical conflict ને કારણે ગેસ સપ્લાયમાં સંભવિત અછત ઉભી થઈ શકે છે, તેથી સરકારે આ ઇમરજન્સી ઓર્ડર બહાર પાડ્યો છે.
મુખ્ય પ્રાવધાન
Four-Tier Priority Allocation Framework
સરકારે ગેસ વિતરણ માટે ચાર પ્રાથમિકતા સ્તરો (priority levels) નક્કી કર્યા છે.
- Allocation છેલ્લા 6 મહિનાના average gas usage આધારિત રહેશે.
Gas Rationing અને Redistribution
Non-priority sectors જેમ કે
- Power plants
- Petrochemical industries
તેમની gas supplyમાં ભારે ઘટાડો અથવા સંપૂર્ણ બંધ પણ થઈ શકે છે.
Gas Pooling Mechanism
Non-priority sectorsમાંથી બચેલી gasને priority sectors ને એક pooled price પર આપવામાં આવશે.
તેનો હેતુ price volatility ઘટાડવો છે.
2. LPG સંબંધિત નવા નિર્ણયો
સરકારે LPG supply સંબંધિત કેટલાક મહત્વપૂર્ણ નિર્ણયો લીધા છે.
LPG Booking Rule
- બે LPG cylinder booking વચ્ચે ઓછામાં ઓછા 25 દિવસનું gap ફરજિયાત રહેશે.
Essential Non-Domestic Sectors
Imported LPG supplyમાં નીચેના sectorsને priority આપવામાં આવશે

Hotel અને Restaurant sector માટે gas supplyની સમીક્ષા કરવા High-Level Committee બનાવવામાં આવી છે.
3. Essential Commodities Act, 1955
Essential Commodities Act નો મુખ્ય હેતુ મૂળભૂત વસ્તુઓની supply અને price control કરવાનો છે.
આ કાયદો hoarding અને black marketing રોકવા માટે બનાવવામાં આવ્યો છે.

4. Supreme Court – Passive Euthanasia Decision
સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટએ પ્રથમ વખત Passive Euthanasia (Right to Die with Dignity) માટે મંજૂરી આપી છે.
આ નિર્ણય 32 વર્ષના Harish Rana કેસમાં આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો, જે છેલ્લા 13 વર્ષથી Persistent Vegetative State માં હતા.
